Shoot 2

In this shoot, I mostly focused on capturing the individual person, but still took images of other interactions and situations in the house.

Overall I think that I have some good images from this shoot, that portray the individuals on their own, away from other family members and of my parents together, waking up on their day off together. These images have mostly been influenced by the work of Sultan, a little bit of Billingham and Toledano.

The images I favour more are;

– 1245-49, portraying the movements and expressions of my dad waking up in the morning.

– 1260-64, of my parents in the morning, still in the process of fully waking up.

– 1307-08, because it shows a weekly task that my mum goes and does on her own, every Thursday, the food shop.

– 1366-77, as these illustrate my dad on his own while on the phone to work and the way he presents himself.

– 1405-09, 1417, 1424-25 and 1432, of my mum in the process of getting herself ready to go out, drying her hair and the finishing touch of putting lipstick on.

– 1456, 1459 and 1465, that portray my brother trying on his new hat and jacket in the hallway mirror.

– 1518-19 of my dad and brother and their lack of social skills while they’re both on their phones.

And 1521-22, images of my mum relaxing on her own, watching Tv quietly in the corner of the living room.

I’m going to next use these images in post production and see which shots look the strongest that could be used as final piece.
